Gunma

A mountainous prefecture with much geothermal activity, Gunma is known for high-quality snow sports and mineral rich hot springs. The small town of Kusatsu has more than 100 hot springs. During the green season, Minakami’s lakes and rivers are a hive of activity, with rafting, canyoning, canoeing and hiking all on offer.
