Okayama

Affectionately named "Land of Sunshine," Okayama Prefecture is known for its delicious local produce and the lush Korakuen Garden, one of Japan's three greatest landscape gardens. At every turn are significant reminders of the area's rich history, including the imposing Okayama Castle and merchant canal town of Kurashiki. Today, the prefecture is also home to some of the world's greatest denim makers.
